Tri State Quarter Horse association is proud to announce the crowning of our 2017 Queen, Autumn Thompson. Autumn is returning to represent us this year after a successful 2016 reign. She expressed her excitement and enthusiasm at the opportunity to represent TSQHA again this season stating:
“I am honored to be representing TSQHA again this year. Thank you to everyone who had a hand in last year’s journey.”
She also expressed her excitement to be able to reconnect with all of the members and exhibitors she crossed paths with last year, as well as, the opportunity to meet many new folks at the shows this season.
At the 2016 Congress Autumn was awarded the Community Service Award during the Queen’s crowning ceremony and we are confident that Autumn will continue in her role as Queen with the poise, grace and compassion we have all come to know her by. You may recall a special moment captured at the 2016 Congress, when Autumn donated her boots to a homeless man, well known at the show for all of his help and hard work assisting many of the show’s vendors. Little did we all know at that time so much good that would come from her act of kindness. Along with Christine Thompson (of Paisley and Hoss) the “In My Boots” initiative began and continues to provide gently used boots and shoes to the New Life Community Outreach Mission, in addition to many organizations as Queen’s from across the country continue to become involved in the initiative.
In coordination with Autumn and Christine, TSQHA will have collection boxes not only at our annual awards banquet, being held on March 5, 2017, but also at each of our shows this season (May 13-14, June 1-4, and September 16-17). We ask you to please consider a donation when attending and to join us in congratulating Autumn Thompson as our 2017 TSQHA Queen!
